Our customer was told by Sky they were unable to install them a new satellite dish due to health & Safety reasons working at heights.  The property was a 3story town house and was high, but with the correct ladders installing a new Satellite dish was not difficult.  Our customers had spotted us working at their neighbour’s house and contacted us to see if we could install a dish and get their Sky back, which we could.  We set up our large ladders up at the front of the house and using our roof climbing ladder we were able to reach to apex.  We used a 9” x 9” wall bracket and cut down a 1” ½ mast to 3 ½ foot for the satellite dish to sit on.

Saturday and our last call of the day is for a replacement TV aerials Essex, when we arrived we were greeted by our customer who was pleased to see us.  They had a 19 year old Yargi TV aerial on their stack and had just bought a new TV and wanted quite rightly a perfect picture, they had looked at my website http://andysaerial.wpengine.com and wanted us to replace their TV aerial.  We took our ladders off of the van and went on the roof to check the signal for both quality and strength, our customer wanted 2 TV points and although the signal was ok they was going to need a 2way masthead pre-amp fitting to the TV aerial to lift the signal to a perfect level.

Last call Saturday and it’s a new TV aerial Chelmsford Essex, nice and local home is not too far to go.  We had already been and looked at our customer’s aerial system and informed them their aerial in their loft was not performing too well and was the culprit of their breaking pictures and missing channels. We needed access on to our customer’s neighbour’s roof to access the gable end which was the highest point, and offered the most secure fixing with the brickwork.  We took some signal strength and quality readings while up there and was happy to fit the heavy duty T&K wall brackets to site the new TV aerial.

Autum, my favourite time of year, still warm and not cold, blue skies and plenty of light until the clocks go back.  Our first job today was a new aerial Roxwell Chelmsford Essex; we parked on our customer’s drive and admired their beautiful cottage.  There was a lovely chimney stack without an aerial, and I wanted to put an aerial there.  The chimney was challenging to lash due to its size and the flat top not being as sturdy as I would have liked, but with plenty of stretching I managed to get all 3 corners of the lashing kit on the chimney stack, and tightening the lashing wire connected to the large chimney cradle, I had an extremely strong support, ready for the new TV aerial.  We had already taken some test readings with our test aerial and both London and Anglia signals were fine for us to be able to work with.

Still enjoying the warm weather our 1^st job of the day was for a new TV aerial Brentwood, the houses did not seem to be high but once we extended our triple ladders to the gable end of the property, it soon became clear the house was high.  With the ladders nice and securely now up to the top of the gable end and tied to the roof rack of the van, I went up and took some signal readings as I was seeing huge ultra-high gain aerials and some were mounted vertically, which indicates to me it is a poor signal area, and a filla station has being used.  As always when I’m not too sure I took up my test aerial and with it connected to my spectrum analyser I rotated it 360 degrees and look at all the available signals.  Much to my surprize I found the London signal was ok, all balanced, a little weak but perfectly workable with a masthead pre-amp.

One of our existing customer’s call and asked if we could hang their new flat screen TV, which of course we were happy to do.  We are always please to see our customer’s again and enjoy hearing how they are, and of course we already know their signal strengths and systems as we have already put them in.

Our afternoon call is a new TV aerial Brentwood Essex and when we arrived, at first we were pleased to see the property we were attending was a bungalow, but once we saw the high poles and mastheads on the surrounding houses, we were worried we would struggle getting our customer a quality digital signal.  After chatting with our customer, I wanted to run on the roof with our test aerial and take some readings and look at the line of sight where the aerial could be mounted.  There was a chimney stack and a gable end we couldn’t be sure which one to choose until we took readings from all the possible fixing locations, the chimney stack was our winner as there was a break in the surrounding trees and the signal strengths were good for me to work with so I decided to use an Antiference XG10, which is an ultra-high gain aerial and would grab extra dB for me to work with.  The XG10 is a heavy head and needs to go on an 1” ½ minimum and if customers have the budget 2”.  I do not like using 16ft and have never used a 20ft mast, I always try to get maximum signal which can be amplified with a quality masthead pre-amp, I do carry a 12ft 2” alloy mast on my van and of course if the property has to have one I use it and always ensure its fixings are generous and can easily support it.  The new TV aerial Brentwood Essex installation I took my reading with an 8ft 1” ½ and knew I the signals would be good enough to amplify.
