Aerial Company in Chelmsford

Aerial Company In Chelmsford

Andy’s Aerials your local aerial company in Chelmsford, after being asked by customers why we have not wrote a blog for a while displaying our work, I have found time today to write a couple of paragraphs and listing it: Aerial Company Chelmsford.  We have recently completed a communal system for some flats in Chelmsford, where there were no fixing points to the building.  However there was a small flat roof on the top, which was a little tricky to climb up to, and lugging 3x 40newton blocks, a tri-pod, A-group Fracarro log-periodic aerial (small and neat lookingJ) and a zone two satellite dish.

The Fracarro A-grouped aerial worked very well and discreet from the ground, 4G was strong and causing a lot of problems when the aerial receives the signal.  So we fitted a 4G filter to block the signal to ensure, our pre-amp and satellite switch would be protected for being overloaded, by the strong 4G signal.   The satellite signal was perfect; we always try and mount our dishes high ensuring a clean line of sight, to be able to receive an excellent signal.

Once we had the tri-pod assembled and secured, we fitted our aerial and mounted the satellite dish in the best possible location.  As an aerial company in Chelmsford, we take enormous pride in our work, and try hard to hide our systems, and achieve the best possible signals, which are mainly on the top of buildings.  We needed to run 5 cables down the hipped roof, and to the facia board, where we were able to enter our cables.  One aerial cable and 4 satellite cables to feed the satellite switch.  New satellite switches can be run off of a normal quod L.N.B now, which makes our lives a little easier, as historically a quatro L.N.B was needed, feeding the switch with a horizontal high, horizontal low, vertical high and a vertical low.  As the feeds were essential we have always had to ping out the cables, to ensure the correct cable connected to the correct input, of the satellite switch.  Now its much easier, just connect the 4 sat feed and aerial and it’s all done.

We fitted the 4G filter, and masthead pre-amp, in our customer’s loft, keeping them out of sunlight, rain and frost, making it easier to access in the future.  The satellite switch guzzles aerial signal so we have to allow for this, which is why the masthead pre-amp is required, we can connect our spectrum analyser to an output of the switch and set the output signal levels by adjusting the masthead pre-amp, ensuring each flat receives the correct signal levels, to ensure a perfect picture on their TV’s.  We need to check a few of the flats signal strengths, generally one on each floor, and certainly the nearest and furthest away, from the switch or launch amp.  After testing several flats we were satisfied the tenants had a 100% perfect digital signal, from both our digital aerial and satellite.
