New Satellite dish Chelmsford Essex www.andysaerials.com
Our customer was told by Sky they were unable to install them a new satellite dish due to health & Safety reasons working at heights. The property was a 3story town house and was high, but with the correct ladders installing a new Satellite dish was not difficult. Our customers had spotted us working at their neighbour’s house and contacted us to see if we could install a dish and get their Sky back, which we could. We set up our large ladders up at the front of the house and using our roof climbing ladder we were able to reach to apex. We used a 9” x 9” wall bracket and cut down a 1” ½ mast to 3 ½ foot for the satellite dish to sit on.

We assembled the zone 1 sky mini dish and fitted pole brackets to the dish so we could attach the Sky dish to the 1” ½ mast, knowing it would give strength and support for years to come. We aligned the satellite dish and tightened the securing brackets; we used shot-gun cable (thin twin cable) one cable for viewing and one for recording. We ran the cable down the back of the roof and then under the lead to keep the installation neat & tidy and no cables could be seen, just the way we like it. Luckily there was a drainpipe so we could run our satellite cable behind, again keeping the cabling invisible.

Our customer’s wall was rendered so when I drilled the 10mm hole I turned off the hammer action of the drill and neatly drilled a perfect hole through the render read for the shot-gun cable to enter the house. With the twin cable now inside the house all I had to do was to connect the F’ plugs to the cable and connect my customer’s Sky+ HD box. After I set up the Sky box my customers was delighted they had their Sky TV back. We packed away our ladders and kit and ensured we had cleared up. We wrote our bill and set off to our next call.
