Tuesday 23rd of April and it’s a heat wave! I had been over quote this job last week and couldn’t have wished for a better day. We had a new aerial to install with 4 points and the sunshine made the work soooooooo pleasurable. We started by extending our ladders high to the extremely high roof which was absolutely lovely. The roof had a wall all the way around the roof edge, with a flat centre and a flat outside edge, which we could walk around to admire the fantastic views 360degrees.

We had been to quote this job last week and our customer wanted Free-View instead of Sky, we looked at all possibility’s and disused where the TV points could go and where the cables would go. When we arrived we took down the old aerial and neatly fixed a small pair of T&K wall brackets the end gable of the house. Securing a Facarro log-periodic w/b aerial on to an 8ft 1” ½ alloy mast I dropped the aerial and mast into the T&K wall brackets ready to take some signal readings to see which way we were going to go with the aerial installation.

Summer is on the way, and the temperature is slowly rising. People are starting to smile and were off to Blackmoor Ingatestone Essex CM4 for an aerial repair/replace fault find. When we arrived our customer thought I had installed the aerial originally but I knew instantly from the shabby taping of the aerial coax cable it was nothing to do with me. I tested the TV point which had a Labgear 12v power supply unit on but my spectrum did not show any signal whatsoever.

Last call Saturday afternoon and it’s a new TV aerial Chelmsford Essex CM1, couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sun was shining and we were in a south facing garden and the sun was beaming down, Happy people all round. I had been over to quote this job the previous Tuesday evening and met my customer. As it was fairly late in the evening there wasn’t good light to survey the property but could answer all my customer’s questions and get an idea what they wanted. I had originally stated I would use T&K wall brackets and fix the aerial on the rear of the house and run 2 new TV points.

1st Call Monday morning and were off for a new aerials installation Billericay Essex CM12, what a treat, scaffolding around the house and no need to be lugging our ladders around. After putting on my tool belt I grabbed a large 5 brick course chimney cradle and lashing kit and using the scaffolds ladders I took a stroll over to the chimney stack.

Tuesday 16th April 2013 and our last call is a new aerial Wickford Essex. We arrived to the nail parlour and was delighted to hear they wanted a new aerial on the back wall of the shop but wanted to run the aerial coax cable through the shop themselves. With a good outside wall we got our ladders off and set-up and got a small pair of T&K wall brackets from the van

We are passionate about all aspects of our work, and always try to achieve excellence for all our customers. We particularly enjoyed this Saturday’s work as we installed an aerial and cabled it into the loft and ran 3 points off of it, one of which to the sitting room where we wall mounted a TV for customer, which we are extremely proud of.

Tuesday 11th April and were off to our 1st call of the day, a new TV aerial Mill Green Ingatestone Essex. It was a typical April day wet! And as always in the rain the roofs are nearly always slate which just adds to the fun of getting up to the chimney stack. Slate in the rain is like ice you really do need to think where you’re going to place your feet. To make things just a little more fun the beautiful cottage had 3 cables crossing over the front which made getting the large roof climbing ladder on the roof difficult.

Like a lot of homes in Ingatestone my customer had his piped signal turned off and was in need of a new TV aerial, their home was a 3 story and the height was great for me to achieve a good digital signal. We walked our ladders around to the back of the property and extended them to reach the top, where I decided to use a 12” wall bracket and cut an 8ft 1” ½ alloy mast down to 5ft to ensure extra strength and keep our TV aerial looking as neat as possible.
