1st Call Monday morning and were off for a new aerials installation Billericay Essex CM12, what a treat, scaffolding around the house and no need to be lugging our ladders around.  After putting on my tool belt I grabbed a large 5 brick course chimney cradle and lashing kit and using the scaffolds ladders I took a stroll over to the chimney stack.

The chimney stack was down the new roof a little and the scaffolding allowed me to climb on the ridge, so I carefully slid down to the chimney stack and admired the beautiful views before I lashed the chimney stack.  There was a Sky satellite dish fixed to the stack which just gave me the 3rd brick course down for my lashing wire.  The satellite dish had been fixed to the stack in the mortar and not the brickwork, I needed to contact the owner of the property and let them know the satellite dish could now be fitted to the aerial mast where it would be considerably better.

After seeing the line of sight where I lashed the chimney stack I decided to use a Facarro lop-periodic w/b aerial as I knew signal strength would be good and the log is a discreet looking aerial.  I fixed the log-periodic w/b aerial to an 8ft 1” ½ alloy mast ensuring maximum strength for the aerial over the coming years.

The log-periodic aerial brought in a fantastic signal 55db on all 6 digital mux’s which is fantastic!  The logs gain is flat from ch21 to ch68 no dips or peaks of signal making it a fantastic aerial and neat looking too.  I finished taping the aerial coax cable to the aerial mast and neatly threaded it behind the lashing wire, the tacked the coax cable down the stack.

The satellite cable had been dropped into the loft space, 3 tiles up from the chimney stack so I carefully removed the roof tiles and followed my aerial coax cable in with the satellite cables, keeping all cables together and neat and tidy.

My customer had asked me to put about 40ft of aerial coax cable through into the loft and leave it for their electrician to connect to the distribution amp and the points they had put in the house.  Nice and easy cable through, pack up write my bill and go.New Aerial Installation Billericay Essex Cm12 Www.andysaerials.com
