Thursday morning and 1st call is a new digital TV aerial Chelmsford Essex. Upon arrival I chatted with my customer who thought they were in a signal black spot which I disagreed with. They wanted a new digital TV aerial as their aerial was the wrong group and was not able to deliver all of the digital channels. I recommended a log-periodic w/b aerial and also quoted for an Antiference XG10 w/b which is an incredibly outstanding aerial. My customer was happy to spend a little more and have the XG10 so I went to the van and assembled a XG10.

I got my ladders set up and lifted the roof climber onto the roof, the roof was incredibly steep 1/1 and I made my way to the chimney stack, where I lashed and fitted a large 5 brick course chimney cradle. With the Antiference XG10 made up, and fixed to the 8ft 1” ½ alloy mast I carried it up the roof and dropped it into the chimney cradle. My customer had already expressed favour to Anglia, so I aligned the new digital TV aerial to Anglia and looked at the signal through my spectrum analyser, and I was happy to see good signal strength and quality.

With the new digital TV aerial facing Anglia and aligned I fitted a masthead pre-amp to lift the digital signal and allow the loss of getting to the ground floor. I then carefully slipped a roof tile and got my aerial coax cable into the loft, where I joined to my customer’s internal cable. With the aerial now connected I installed a 12v remote power supply unit and made up some new fly-leads. Tune the TV and admire Andy’s aerials pictures with my customer. After packing away and putting my ladders back on my van I cleared up and went back inside to write my bill. As always my customers were over the moon and couldn’t understand why they had suffered with poor pictures before and wished they had called me much sooner! Happy customers always are my aim and they were over the moon.
Next call another new digital TV aerial Chelmsford Essex wish all my jobs were in the same location, and didn’t have to travel too much between jobs.
