Wednesday 27th and first call is for a new aerial installation Leigh-On-Sea Essex. When we arrived I was delighted to see a fabulous roof layout with easy access to all areas of the roof. The bungalow had 3 chimney stacks to choose from so I chose the one nearest to the TV point for 2 reasons; one was a shorter cable run from the aerial and the other was the other stacks were not as substantial as the one I chose, being short, wide and stronger.

I lashed the stack with my favourite 13” 5 brick course chimney cradle, and now I have found some good quality lashing kits with one end pre-made, making my job easier I happily lashed the chimney cradle to the stack. I had studied the surrounding aerials and aerial installations, and thought a Blake DMX10 w/b would be perfecta the bungalow was obviously one floor low than a house and I wanted to get a good quality digital signal for my customer.

I aligned the Blake with my spectrum analyser and I was extremely happy with the signal, all 6 digital mux’s were nice and even all at 46db giving me more signal than I needed. My customer asked if I could feed the aerial coax cable into the loft and then go out again running a new cable to the sitting room but leaving a feed in the loft, for future requirements ir: extra TV points in a bedroom etc.

I ran the aerial coax lead in black and then joined it to brown coax cable in the loft using satellite F’ connectors, colour coding the feed from the supply would make it easier for my customer in the future, if they wished to split off of it and use it. The bricks of the bungalow were brown so brown coax was best suited for appearance to their property.
Once on the ground I drilled a whole behind their TV for my cable to enter their home, sealed with brown mastic all I need to do was to fix a coax plug and tune their TV. Which I did and demonstrated the pictures to my customer. Another happy customer of andysaerials.com Next call was off to Billericay Essex for another new aerial installation.
