At last a sunny picture to go in my blog! Sunny Brentwood Essex and were here to install and new satellite dish for Free-Sat Free-time for our customer. We looked at the possibilities and knew the best option for sighting the free-sat dish would be on the chimney stack. The roof was our favourite biscuit tiles, and needed a roof climber. We went up from the front of the property and then while sitting on the short ridge of the house we rotated the roof climber 180degres, so we could access the back roof where we wanted to install the free-sat free-time satellite dish. With the ridge being so short before the hip of the roof it was fun avoiding the aerials while trying to turn around the roof climber, but we managed it and fitted the satellite wall bracket, as there was not a decent aerial mast to fix it to.

Once the wall bracket was securely fixed we slid the satellite dish arm into the bracket and connected out meter to the quod L.N.B ready to align. We were delighted with the signal strength and quality so we locked off the dish and started connecting the twin cable to the L.N.B. As you can see from the attached picture we ran the cable extremely neatly down the stack and into the loft of the property. We came out of the loft with the twin cable through the facia board by a drain pipe which we used as a way down without the cable being seen. If we can hide a cable we always do. Our customer wanted us to bring in the twin satellite cable in through their porch and then through to the sitting room. We pointed out the risks of drilling through internal wall which they were happy for us to do. Luckily I managed to drill the wall neatly and got the cable through and to the free-Sat free-time receiver. We connected the cable and set-up the satellite for our customer, who was absolutely delighted with the installation. The Free-Sat Free-Time satellite receiver connected to their router wirelessly, easily and all we had to do was give a demonstration of how to use their new equipment. We wrote our bill and packed away and typed in the destination of our next call into the Sat-Nav.
