New digital TV aerial Witham Essex
We just love the sunshine, and this week has been lovely! About time I could post some pictures with sunshine in. We had our last call on Wednesday for a new digital TV aerial Witham Essex, and were hoping for a bungalow. As you can see from the picture it was a house and had an extremely delicate roof!
After a lot of thought we decided the best method would be to put our ladders up the front and gently ease our roof climbing ladder on to the delicate roof. We managed to get the roof climber on the roof without breaking a single tile. The next issue was the stack, as you can see from the attached picture the only way to fit the chimney corners of the lashing kit was to stand on top of the chimney stack and place them there. As you can see the chimney stack is as clever as the roof and in need of repair.

Once we had the lashing wire around the chimney stack we climbed on to the top of the stack and not damaging any of the pots we managed to get our 3 chimney corners in place. We fitted a large 5 brick course chimney cradle and put a w/b log-periodic on an eight foot 1” ½ alloy mast and metered the signal. The signal was week but workable, so once the masthead pre-amp was fitted we knew we would have a fantastic signal for our customer. All we had to do now was run our new coax cable down the delicate roof and get our roof climber off and not have to do any repairs to the roof, which we luckily did. Once the cable was under the guttering it was plain sailing taking the cable down to the floor, drilling a neat hole for the cable to enter the property, we fitted a 12v remote power supply unit and attached the fly-lead to our customer’s TV. All we had to do now was re-tune their TV and check our signal, if were happy our customer’s would be.

We were absolutely delighted with our signal and digital aerial installation, perfect pictures and again very happy customers. We checked the channels of the TV and admired the quality of our signal and picture quality. We cleared up and wrote our bill and headed home, after enjoying another day’s work.
