Aerial move in Maylandsea Essex CM3 www.andysaerials.com

Our aerial move in Mayland Essex CM3 was a joy if only all houses came with scaffolding and an all weather protector our job would be so much easier! We fitted the log-periodic wb aerial back in early 2011 along with 5 points to various rooms, and now our customer is having a large extension to their beautiful house and needed the aerial moving from the original gable end to the new gable end.

Simple job considering scaffolding up and easy access to both gable ends, the scaffolding even came with the use of ladders! No carrying heavy ladders for us, Which made access to the aerial easy and safe.
Once we had undone the large u bolts which hold the aerial pole to the brackets we slid the aerial and pole out. We then removed the T & K wall brackets and sealed the holes in the brickwork with silicon sealer. We then relocate the T & K wall brackets to the new gable end, using new bolts and mungo’s.
we re-wired the aerial so there were no joins in the cable as the main aerial feed to the amp is the heart of any system. Sometimes its easier to do things properly than it is to just cut, join and waterproof and it looks much nicer too!

My favorite work…..
A new aerial install at Hutton Brentwood Essex I struggle putting up an aerial with the limited room on the stack and then the neighbor asks if he can have an aerial too, to which we always reply yes!

New aerial install Chelmer Village Chelmsford
Don’t be fooled by the clear blue sky and sunshine at this new aerial install Chelmer Village Chelmsfors Essex as it was -6c extremely cold Polar Bear and Penguin weather!
we had to remove the fence between my customer’s property and their Neighbours to enable us to get a more safer angle for the ladders, we put up a Blake DMX5 w/b aerial on a 10ft 1″ 1/2 alloy mast with 12″ T &K wall brackets. If you notice from my pictures you will always see we fit T&K wall brackets at least 6 brick courses down from the top to allow some of the weight of the wall to support our brackets. Its a pet hate of mine to see brackets put right up the top by the roof line where there is no support and eventually the top bricks lift and cause damage to the property.

This School is higher than it looks! We need to put a new aerial on the west side of the school to feed 2 points, the only way to get up to the top was to climb on to the flat roof and put the ladders there to get to the top ledge, which was difficult to climb off the ladder on to the ledge due to the angle of the ladder.

Biggest trouble here was parking! luckily a car moved and I could park my van outside my customer’s house, saving me walking miles with my ladders over my shoulder.
Extremely delicate roof (biscuit tiles, called that as they break so very easily and you spend more time replacing and repairing tiles after the new aerial installation is finished) I put my main ladders up the front of the house to get me up to the 1st lift and then my shorter ladder to the stack which worked very well as I didn’t break one tile!
New TV aerial install Ingatestone Esssex CM4 www.andysaerials.com

Sunday morning and I’m, off to a new TV aerial installation with extra points at Ingatestone CM4. Spectacular views from this roof, farmland all around, and for a Sunday morning late November the sunshine was extremely appreciated and much needed.

What a lovely day to be up on a roof,a clear blue sky and lots of sunshine, a perfect day for a new aerial installation. I Lashed my customer’s chimney stack using a massive eighteen inch chimney cradle, which takes 6/7 brick courses giving incredible strength and support which guarantees their new aerial installation will be there for years and years to come.
Aerial, satellite and media cables
Here’s an unusual enquiry to www.andysaerials.com… Aerial, satellite and media cables
could we tidy up some cables and get several TV’s working?
As you will see from the pictures I have added it was a cabling mess! The company who installed the media center to my customer’s premises had left a complete mess of wiring and not much of the system working.

I enjoyed installing a 2nd Sky+ HD to the system and fitted a spc4 sky diplexer/switch so both sky boxes could be viewed around the house but only programmed sky remotes would operate each skyHD+ box. Which for example ch1 on any TV is one Sky box channel say for parents and ch2 on any TV is the 2nd Sky box children for example.

After sorting the wiring and configuring it to work well I tuned several TV’s and fitted Sky-eyes around the house extending some ethernet cables so TV’s could go on the internet and connect to the BBC iplayer for example.
