Aerial Installer Chelmsford
Today I am an aerial installer Chelmsford, I had previously been to the property and gave a quote to install a new aerial and run a couple of new TV points, my customers were happy with my quote and we arranged a convenient day for me to do the work, as with most of the summer it was hot and sticky, not looking forward to the winter but getting fed-up with the heat and humidity. My customer’s roof was an incredible steep angle and so long my roof climbing ladder would not reach from the top of the roof to the guttering, after a lot of difficulty I managed to hook the roof climber on the top ride and used another route to the ridge with my other ladders, knowing my roof climber was in place by the chimney stack when I lashed it.

Using my favourite 13” large heavy duty chimney cradle I lashed the chimney in what I believed to be the best spot for my new aerial to go. There is always a choice of four corners of the chimney stack and on each on the chimney cradle can be fitted 2 ways, which can make the signal that little bit better, avoiding a tree for example. With the chimney now lashed I put a log-periodic w/b aerial on an 8ft 1” ½ alloy mast and neatly taped the aerial coax cable to the aerial mast. I climbed back up on to the roof once more and dropped the aerial into the large U bolts of the chimney cradle, taking my spectrum analyser off of my back I connected the new aerial to it and looked at the surrounding signals and decided London would be best.

My customer had Sky so I ran my aerial cable down to the sitting room and connected my digital terrestrial signal to the Sky receiver and using the RF outlet of the Sky receiver I ran a return cable back up to the loft, now carrying my digital aerial signal and the Sky signal (analogue) perfect all I need do is fit an ir amp in my customer’s loft and connect their existing cables to my amp and run a couple of new cables to the rooms which needed TV points. The loft was incredibly hot, I was pleased to get the cable runs done 1st and then just go back into the loft to connect them. After I had run the other 2 TV points I entered the loft for the last time and connected my 2 cables to the distribution amp and went to test my points and re-tune my customer’s TV’s. I was extremely happy with my signal and started packing away. I wrote my bill and cleared up. Next call new aerial Brentwood Essex.
