New TV Aerial Danbury Essex www.andysaerials.com
Just sorting through my proud pictures of my work and found this one a new TV aerial Danbury Essex www.andysaerials.com how I could have not published it, as it is one of only a few pictures in sunlight! I received a call asking for a new TV aerial installation, and went there for a quote. I instantly realised with the height of the land the digital signal would be screaming in and wanted to use one of my favourite log-periodic w/b aerials. The roof was lovely to walk up and the chimney stack was a lovely little stack easy to get to and easy to lash. The stack itself was in need of attention so I lashed my heavy duty 13” 5 brick course chimney cradle at the bottom giving my aerial plenty of support and not aggravating the loose top course of bricks of the chimney stack.

Once I had put the log on the aerial mast and taped the aerial coax cable down the mast, I put my spectrum analyser over my shoulder and climbed my ladder up to the roof. With the sun shining and a nice clear day I could see for miles and miles. I dropped the aerial mast into the chimney cradle and aligned it to Crystal Palace. The signal was screaming in and I needed to lose some as there was far too much of it. Luckily my customer asked if I could connect a bedroom TV point to the aerial, with the use of a 2way combined inductive splitter I instantly lost 4db on each leg which was useful but not enough.

Running the new aerial cable down the roof I cut up the remaining lashing wire and neatly pinned the aerial cable as it went down the roof. Under the guttering and down the rear of the house, I neatly pinned the aerial coax cable. Once inside I fitted a coax plug and again plugged the aerial lead in to my spectrum analyser to see what the signal was on the ground. I fitted a 10db attenuator to the aerial coax lead and tested the bedroom point next, which also need attenuating. I tuned the 2 TV’s and looked at the pictures on a few of the channels and then cleared up and packed away. As usual my customer was delighted with my service and work. I wrote my bill and set off for my next call.
