Our 2nd call today is for a new aerial installation Chelmsford Essex and when we arrived we were delighted to see a lovely walk able roof on a bungalow.  There were 2 chimney stacks to choose from, one was straighter than the other as it looked perpendicular to me?  Although the property was a bungalow we did not wish to use 16ft 2” masts to achieve good signal strength, we don’t like to look of any property with such huge masts, and we always try to get a good base signal with an 8ft 1” ½ and if the signal is workable use the correct amplification.  As luck would have it when we took some signal readings with our test aerial we were happy with the results and proceeded to lash our customer’s chimney stack with one of our large heavy duty chimney cradles which will provide more than enough support for our log—periodic on an 8ft 1” ½ alloy masts.

Our Fracarro Log-periodic w/b aerials are good performing throughout the ch range and lightweight, not putting any unnecessary load on our customer’s chimney stacks.  With no deflectors / back plates the logs are aerodynamic to, an all-round winner!   We take great pride in all aspects of our work and nothing pleases us more than, driving past one of our previous aerial installations and admiring our own work.  Sad maybe but if you’re going to do something why not enjoy it and be without piers.  With our chosen log-periodic w/b aerial now neatly taped to our aerial mast we dropped the mast into the large U bolts of the chimney cradle and electronically aligned our aerial, happy we had squeezed every dB possible to grab we tightened the large U bolts and ran our new aerial coax cable into our customer’s loft.

We fitted a new low noise distribution amplifier and changed our customer’s connections from coax to F.  With the amp now fitted and the correct gain dealt with we re-tuned our customer’s TV’s and checked for any problems, worn fly-leads etc.  Our customer was delighted with our efforts and was extremely happy with all the free-view channels now working on all the TV’s.  We packed away and cleared up the rubbish generated from the new aerial installation and wrote our bill.  Our next call was another new aerial installation Chelmsford Essex, perfect not too far to drive.
