Saturday afternoon and we are off to Ingatestone for a flat screen TV wall mounting call, when we arrived we soon discovered the property had been used as an office and the partitioning wall was not of plasterboard and not too strong to say the least.  As we embrace the challenges our varied work throws at us, we thought an Antiference UT65 Flat screen TV wall mounting bracket would provide the support required to hang the TV.  The Antiference UT65 has a large footprint and covers a large area of the wall, and has a lot of fixing points so the weight and load of the TV is spread across the wall, ensuring the TV stays where it is fitted securely.

When undertaking flat screen TV wall mounting you need to have good communication with your customer where they would like the TV to be fitted and the correct height for the best viewing experience.  A lot of our customer’s want the TV hanging far too high, and I’m afraid to say when I ring the doorbell of some of my customer’s I spot their stiff neck and body posture and know before I enter their property they have had their TV hung far too high over their fire place.  Historically TV’s sat on a TV stand at eye level from the seated position of the sofa, making viewing the TV comfortable and easy.  Only now people hang them far too high and have to adapt their necks to view the screen.

With the above in mind I sat on my customer’s sofa and suggested a comfortable height to hang the flat screen TV, my customer agreed and we set about marking the bracket fixing holes to our customer’s wall.  We soon had the flat screen TV wall bracket fixed on the wall and fitted the hanging brackets to our customer’s TV.  We hung the TV and checked the level with our spirit lever and once we were happy we fitted the white trunking to hide the HDMI cables and power lead for the TV.  Our customer was delighted with the appearance of their newly wall mounted TV and liked the space gained by not having a TV stand freeing up some floor space.  We wrote out bill and cleared away, our next call was a satellite re-alignment.
